Umico is seeking a Category Manager for Umico Fashion Team. The responsibility of this role is to develop & execute business strategy to achieve GMV, target brand-portfolio, and SPU richness for assigned categories. Support long-term goals and strategy for assigned category, follow consumer needs and behavior to ensure Umico vision and objects are met for AZ market.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure strategy vision for Category
  • Create business plans and constantly develop and analyze new business opportunities
  • Guarantee attractive products and competitive price in regular sales periods and for all promotion in alignment with company pricing and promo policy
  • Follow up on how the products and category is tracking towards objectives
  • Develop new suppliers and maintain genuine, sustainable partnerships with the existing ones focusing on growth
  • Manage and develop brand portfolio 
  • Negotiate with sellers to ensure the range meets market needs, supports the customer proposition and achieves category goals
  • Validate and sign off sales forecast for promotions in cooperation with sellers and cross-functional departments 
  • Review sellers performance and profitability scorecard based
  • Drive growth within customers in categories by understanding the shopping path, how marketplace engages with consumers and how brands and stores appear online
  • Analyze consumer buying patterns and predicting future trends
  • Analyze the category, consumer, market, competitors and trends to ensure constant improvement/ evaluation of assigned category
  • Work closely with all cross-functional teams such as Promo, Marketing, PR, Global Category management teams to ensure implementation of the category strategy and goals
  • Drive, support and give advice to own team, communicate & keep team updated

Key requirements:

  • Master’s degree, preferably in marketing/business/economics
  • Minimum of 3 years of Category Management experience with Category background
  • Previous E-commerce-related projects is much appreciated
  • High level of category and fashion industry knowledge
  • Excellent negotiation and sales skills 
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent organization and communication skills including presentation, facilitation and influencing
  • Good analytical, strategic and conceptual thinking
  • Ability to work independently and within a high performing team
  • Ability to multitask and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Strong business acumen and KPIs understanding in retail and e-commerce
  • Firm knowledge of MS Office, advanced user of MS Excel
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
